New International Student Flight and Campus Arrival Information
Flight Arrival Dates and Details
Thiel College offers a free van shuttle service from the Pittsburgh International Airport to all newly arriving international students during the following dates.
• Monday, August 19, 2013
• Tuesday, August 20, 2013
Once you book your flight, complete this electronic form to let us know your flight information. Once received, the appropriate shuttle pick-up date and time will be selected and emailed to you. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to students using a naver.com email address. Instead, please use an alternate email such as Gmail or hanmail.com so that we are able to correspond with you successfully.
When you arrive at the Pittsburgh International Airport, you will meet the shuttle van driver from the college in the baggage claim area - at the bottom of the escalators. The driver will be holding a Thiel College sign. Additionally, the shuttle driver will help you to retrieve your baggage and load it onto the shuttle. You will then be driven to campus.
The shuttle driver will escort you to your new dorm room when you arrive on campus. They will help you carry your luggage and make sure that you get set-up in your room safely. They will give you a brief tour of your new dormitory so that you will begin to get settled into your new surroundings.
Flight Delay or Missed Flight
If your flight is cancelled or you miss your flight, you will need to call Ms. Shannon Reesh immediately at 724-589-2126 or email her at sreesh@thiel.edu to let her know your new arrival information and to reschedule your shuttle transport to the college. Please note: Thiel College is located about 1.5 hours from the Pittsburgh International Airport, therefore it is essential for you to call or email without delay if your travel plans have been altered.
Campus Arrival Information

• One towel set
• A blanket*
• Several clothes hangers

*You may want to purchase additional blankets, and other necessary items to make your dormitory room comfortable.
Meals
Meals will be offered to you during orientation. You will also get to shop for food once you arrive on campus. Additionally, there is a full service kitchen located in the common area of each of the dormitories on campus. Each kitchen houses a refrigerator, a stove, and cook top, as well as a microwave oven and a sink. You will have 24 hour access to the kitchen area. As soon as classes begin, you will sign-up for a student meal plan, which will be discussed during orientation.
Climate
The temperature in Greenville, Pennsylvania will average around 80 degrees Fahrenheit or higher during the month of August. Please pack clothes that keep you cool. You will have an opportunity to shop for items during orientation, as well as other times during the semester. However, you will want to be prepared upon arrival.
