Schmoll named VPFM




	Home Thiel Headline News Experts and Speakers Graphics Standards Public Relations Office T-Notes Today at Thiel		THIEL COLLEGE NAMES VICE PRESIDENT FOR FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT July 25, 2012 GREENVILLE, PA–Thiel College announced today that Robert B. Schmoll has been appointed vice president for finance and management, a position he will assume in mid-September. Schmoll, who has nearly 30 years’ experience in higher education administration, comes to Thiel from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., where he was vice president for finance and operations and oversaw accounting/business office, bookstore, computer services, facilities, financial aid, food service and human resources for the college. Previously, he served in several positions of increasing responsibility at Dana College in Blair, Neb., including executive vice president and chief financial officer. “We are very happy to welcome someone of Bob Schmoll’s caliber to Thiel College,” said Dr. Troy D. VanAken, Thiel College president. “His proven track record of success coupled with his commitment to helping enhance the student and campus experience is very important in this vital administrative position. I am very excited to see his impact on Thiel College in the future.” Schmoll holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and bachelor’s degrees in business administration and German from Dana College. As vice president for finance and management at Thiel College, Schmoll will supervise finance and accounting functions, human resources, physical plant and facilities, financial aid and other contracted services as well as serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet.
