Hundreds of regional high school students expected at Mercer County College Fair

GREENVILLE, Pa.—About 700 regional high school students are expected to attend the Mercer County Guidance Counselors College Fair and Career Day from 9-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at Thiel College.

The fair is in Beeghly Gymnasium. It is free and open to the public. Representatives from about 80 colleges, universities and technical schools, as well as businesses and the armed forces, will distribute materials and talk with students and other interested members of the community about colleges and career choices. Students, faculty and staff of Thiel College—a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania—will be in attendance.

Students from Mercer and Crawford counties as well as from other high schools in the area are expected to attend.

The Mercer County Guidance Counselors Association sponsors the event.

About Thiel College

Thiel College is an independent college founded in the Lutheran tradition. Located in Greenville, Pa., the College offers 60 majors and minors, 24 varsity sports, and an 11:1 student-faculty ratio. The College is also home to a Master of Science in speech-language pathology, a Leadership Master of Business Administration and a Management Master of Business Administration.
