GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College announces that it will be the overnight host in June for about 500 cyclists and volunteers as part of the Bike MS: Escape to the Lake 2022 fundraising ride that generates $500,000 annually to fight multiple sclerosis.
Thiel College originally planned to be the overnight host for the event in 2020, however, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held virtually instead. This year, the event will take place June 4–5.
The annual Escape to the Lake ride, which is in its 37th year, is one of the five largest in the state. The event averages between 400 and 600 riders each year and is usually staffed by another 200 volunteers.
The ride starts in Portersville, Pa. continues through western Pennsylvania, with the overnight stop in Greenville, and finishes near Lake Erie in Conneaut, Ohio.
