GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College Assistant Professor of Computer Science Brian Bradshaw, D.Sc., recently had his second paper published in a leading multimedia information systems peer-reviewed journal.
Bradshaw’s article, “How Query by Humming, a Music Information Retrieval System, is Being Used in the Music Education Classroom,” was published in The Journal of Multimedia Information Systems.
The journal publishes papers on state-of-the-art multimedia information processing systems. Theoretical research contributions presenting new techniques, concepts or analyses; reports on experiences and experiments of implementation and application of theories; and tutorials on new technologies and trends are considered for the quarterly journal.
Bradshaw started teaching at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, in 2015. Bradshaw earned his doctorate from Robert Morris University in information systems and communications. He received his Master of Science in communications/CIS from Clarion University, a Bachelor of Science in music from Clarion University and a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications/CIS from Westminster College. He recently completed his Master of Science in higher education administration at Robert Morris. He is working on a master’s degrees in music education and business administration.
Bradshaw also spoke recently at National Defense University College of Information and Cyberspace on the use of mobile technology to deliver psychological warfare messages. The National Defense University is a graduate school for the U.S. military and federally employed civilians.
