Veterans affairs expert to discuss benefits available to military service members

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will host an information session for College alumni, students, faculty and staff who are United States military veterans at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the Howard Miller Student Center.

Mercer County Director of Veterans Affairs Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Larry Scheetz is the featured speaker. Scheetz will discuss benefits and programs available to veterans.

The event is free. It is sponsored by the Greenville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3374.

Assistant professor of computer science at Thiel College Brian Bradshaw, D.Sc., is organizing the event. Bradshaw retired after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army Special Operations. He did tours of duty with the North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command. He also served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
