GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Weyers-Sampson Art Gallery is featuring an exhibition of prints from Thiel College’s permanent collection of art until April 2.
“The works selected were an effort to offer our campus a place to retreat from the complexities of current life. Not an escape, but rather a chance to contemplate beautiful things made by hand,” Professor fo Art and Thiel College Curator of Art Sean McConnor said. “The exhibition is comprised of etchings and lithographs with subjects from the landscape and the figure. If there is one motif that runs through the exhibition, it would be the quiet moments and spaces we often overlook.”
Among the artists included in the exhibition Will Barnet, Isabel Bishop, Pierre August Renoir, and Raphael Soyer.
The gallery is open for employees and students only. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:15–4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
To schedule a visit outside of those hours contact McConnor.
