Addison, Pearce named Thiel College’s first Students of the Month for 2020 spring semester

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announces Logan Addison ’20 and Justin Pearce ’20 as its first Students of the Month for the spring 2020 semester.

Addison, of Greenville, Pa., and Pearce, of Leechburg, Pa., were chosen as the February honorees by a committee of faculty and staff members based on their academic, civic and philanthropic involvement.

Addison is a 2016 graduate of Greenville High School and an early childhood education and special education major. She is the captain of the cross country and track teams. Addison is in the athletic honors program, Dietrich Honors Institute and the education honors program. She completed an internship with the Mercer County United Way Success After 6 program. As part of that initiative, she co-taught lessons to help improve incoming kindergartners’ base knowledge of letters and numbers. She has been on the Dean’s List for each of her seven semesters at Thiel and works in the children’s book room in the Langenhiem Memorial Library.

As a member of the education honorary, Kappa Delta Pi, Addison, who is also a first-generation college student, has participated in several community events, including Math and Science Night and Literacy Night at Greenville Elementary School and volunteered with the local backpack program. 

Her parents are Laurie and Ronald Addison, of Greenville, Pa.

Pearce is a 2016 graduate of Kiski Prep and is a public relations, advertising and integrated marketing communications major. He was Thiel College Student Entrepreneur of the Year and is a member of the business honorary society, Chi Eta Sigma, and the sophomore academic honorary society, Lambda Sigma. He competes on the Thiel track and field team and is a resident assistant. Pearce has also been active with the National Society of Leadership and Success and Gold Leadership Society. He is vice president of the Fitness Club. Pearce has been on Dean’s List for seven straight semesters.

Pearce created Massive Gains Apparel. He has committed a portion of the proceeds from his apparel sales to assist abused and unwanted pets and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Pearce is the son of Michael and Pamela Pearce, of Leechburg, Pa.
