GREENVILLE, Pa.—A few spots remain for Thiel College’s summer volleyball clinic and prospect camp for middle and high school girls on July 15, 16 and 17 at Beeghly Gymnasium.

An all-skills clinic for players in grades 7–9 is July 15. All fundamental skills of volleyball including passing, setting, hitting, blocking and serving will be covered in the morning followed by an afternoon session where those skills will be applied to small-sided games and competitive play. A clinic for players in grades 9–12 is the following day.

On Saturday, July 17, a prospect camp for varsity-level or higher-level travel players in grades 10–12 who are interested in playing collegiate volleyball will be held. The prospect camp will include drill work in the morning done at the college pace and proficiency level. The afternoon will be filled with gameplay in multiple different drill formats.

Interested participants should register by July 13.

All three events are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the cost is $60. Thiel College women’s head coach Tyler North is leading the camps. He will be assisted by men’s coach Dylan Lasher ’15.

“I am Just happy to be able to run camps again at Thiel this summer and continue to help grow the game of volleyball in the area,” North said.

In four seasons at Thiel College, North has taken the Tomcats to consecutive playoff berths in 2018 and 2019. Previously he has coached at the College at Brockport, where he helped the team to 90 wins and two NCAA Tournaments in three seasons, as well as coaching within the USA High Performance system.
