GREENVILLE, Pa.—The Thiel College Office of Admission is hosting online sessions for accepted and prospective students to learn about the College, the admission process and academic programs.

The Lunch & Learn series began May 19 and will continue throughout the summer. Each themed event takes place online at noon while some sessions are for accepted students and discuss Thiel College-related information, other series include general discussions of Thiel academic programs and what to expect during college life.

The next event is at noon Friday and will discuss loans and financing options with Thiel College’s Director of Financial Aid Cindy Farrell ’77, Assistant Director of Admission/Financial Aid Counselor Justin Gregorich and Student Accounts Supervisor Stacey Yake.

“Without traditional orientation and visit days we have had to find new ways to connect with students, families and or anyone curious about the college search process,” Thiel College Vice President for Enrollment Management Ashley Josay Zullo said. “Our series is a convenient way for our counselors, staff and faculty members to provide targeted information to the people who actively need it.”

Faculty members will also lead a discussion on the soon-to-be-launched physician assistant master’s degree program. The College hosted a meeting recently about one of its other innovative and concentrated graduate programs, a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.

Other Lunch & Learn topics include “Why You Should Consider the Excel Program,” “Understanding Your Class Schedule,” “What is the Dietrich Honors Institute,” “What Medical Forms Do I Need to Complete?,” “Interested in Transferring to Thiel,” “What Should You Bring to Move-in to Thiel.”

Thiel College Director of Athletics Amy Schafer and a Thiel athlete will discuss the “Life of a College Athlete” during a July 17 event.

On July 15, the families will hear directly from the College’s 20th President Susan Traverso, Ph.D. in a town hall-style session.

Assistant Director of Admission Morgan Steiner ’16 will discuss how students can win a full-tuition scholarship to Thiel College and other merit scholarships.
