GREENVILLE, Pa.—Admission Counselor Justin Gregorich, Senior Associate Director of Admission Sonya Lapikas and Director of Alumni Relations Kelly Sanzari ’13 graduated from Leadership Shenango on May 19.

This session of Leadership Shenango began in mid-February and consisted of two full-day and six half-day classes over three months. The program—affiliated with the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce and started in 1995—has more than 400 graduates. This year’s graduation recognition took place during the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Phoenix Awards.

“Having grown up in the area and seeing how much really goes on in the valley is exciting and inspiring,” Gregorich said. “Leadership Shenango not only has taught me how to be a better leader, [but also] that we, the community, can make [the Shenango Valley] a better place.”

Gregorich lives in Hubbard, Ohio and graduated from West Middlesex High School in 2006.

“Participating in Leadership Shenango was such a wonderful experience. It is definitely a program that encourages you to evaluate and develop your leadership skills,” Lapikas said. “Being a member of Leadership Shenango has allowed me to learn about the many different ways I, and others, can volunteer and assist with the continued development of the outstanding community we are blessed to live in.”

Lapikas resides in Sharon, Pa. and graduated from Reynolds in 1991.

“Leadership Shenango opened my eyes to so many amazing programs and initiatives taking place right here in our community that I was never aware of before,” Sanzari said. “We met many area leaders and expanded upon our own leadership skills to continue impacting the Shenango Valley region.”
