Traditional dance, soul food and poetry highlight Black History Month events at Thiel College

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College’s Organization of Black Collegiates, an inclusive organization to promote and raise cultural awareness around the campus, is hosting a series of events to recognize and celebrate Black History Month.

“Black History Month events are centered on raising awareness of the minority culture on campus and recognizing the important contributions African-Americans made throughout history and continue to make today,” Associate Dean of Diversity and Inclusion Anthony E. Jones said. “The campus community appreciates OBC’s campus leadership in educating the Thiel community about minority issues in ways that are open, respectful and educational for everyone.”
