Thiel College seeks vibrant faculty members (tenure-track rank open) to serve as principal faculty with didactic teaching, academic advising, clinical rotation coordination, admissions responsibilities, and service expectations to the program, the College, and the profession. Appointments expected to begin no later than May 2022, but earlier may be possible.
The Physician Assistant Program offers a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies; student entry to the program is via two pathways (5-year pathway earning BA and MS degrees, or post-baccalaureate pathway).
A dedicated passion for helping students reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive diverse environment is essential to this position. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, student supervision, and professional development. While Thiel College gives highest priority to teaching effectiveness, the faculty are expected to remain current in their field through professional development opportunities such as attendance at related conferences, research, or other scholarly activities. The Principal Faculty will collaborate with the program director, PA faculty, and staff to support the program’s mission and ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards.
These are full-time, tenure-track, 12-month positions that will report to the Program Director and will work closely with students and program faculty and staff. The program is dedicated to allotting time and resources for the professional development of faculty and staff. Salary and rank for the position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidates will preferably have 1-3 years teaching experience in a higher education setting, demonstrate effective communication and collaborative skills in a team-oriented environment, and a demonstrate a history of successful time management.
