Student News

Lambda Sigma collecting clothing for Aware

Members of Lambda Sigma, the sophomore honor society, are collecting clothes for Aware, which assists area families experiencing domestic violence and in need of shelter.

Please consider donating lightly used clothing and new underwear and socks for adults and children.

Collection boxes will be in the Howard Miller Student Center.

Buy from Amazon and benefit Thiel students

Thiel friends and family have another way to help students. A study abroad trip to Greece is planned for students in May 2019.

By using AmazonSmile.com,  a donation of .05 percent of every purchase made until June 2019 will be made for the trip.

Using AmazonSmile.com

  • To shop at AmazonSmile simply go to smile.amazon.com from the web browser on your computer or mobile device.
  • On your first visit to AmazonSmile, select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases prior to shopping. The selection will be saved and every eligible purchase at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.
  • You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. The shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same.

No matter how much (or how little) you use Amazon, each purchase will help Thiel students head to Greece!

It costs you nothing, but every fraction of a penny helps. The more people and small business who simply order through AmazonSmile rather than "regular Amazon," the more our students benefit.
