Seniors discuss special impact Thiel College had on their lives

Six graduates sat down with Professor of Business Administration Karen Shaffer to talk about what Thiel College means to them and how it has prepared them for life. Many of the professors on campus got special recognition, too, for their contributions to creating a fulfilling and enriching campus experience for the students.

Orientation Days and barbecues highlight Admissions' activities

The Office of Admission held its first summer orientation session on June 2. Seventy-eight students registered for the fall 2018 semester. Additional Orientation Days are on Friday, June 22 and Monday, June 25.

Also, scheduled this summer are two BBQ visit days on June 18 and July 27.

Thiel Alumnus named teacher of the year

Thiel College graduate Phil Double ’12 was named North Central Middle School’s 2018 Teacher of the Year and an Honor Roll Teacher with the Kershaw County (S.C.) School District. Watch the video to hear this North Central Middle School student talk about the impact Double has had on him.

Study Abroad shares adventures in Iceland, Australia and New Zealand

Thiel College students, faculty and made two separate trips this spring. One group explored Australia and New Zealand, while another group went to Iceland.

Tomcat Tributes recognize the teamwork Thiel College employees exhibit each day. Employees can nominate co-workers for recognition in four categories (Random Act of Kindness, Going the Extra Mile, Had a Great Idea, Just Because).

TC Café summer hours

The TC Café is open Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for summer lunches. Price is $6.25 and offers several options including salad bar.

T-Notes publishing schedule

The next edition of T-Notes will be out June 20. T-Notes is published twice each month in May, June and July. It will resume its weekly schedule in August.
