Thiel College faculty and staff members gathered together on Dec. 14 to sing carols, enjoy each other’s company and eat a Christmas lunch. Attendees were asked to bring a non-perishable food item, which was donated to the Good Shepherd food pantry.
Thiel College will be hosting its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. The theme is “The Celebration of Mindfulness, Love, and Kindness.” Nominees for the following awards are being accepted:

Today and Thursday are the final days of testing for campus fire alarm systems.
The Howland Alarm Company is testing the alarms in most buildings. Building occupants might hear an audible alarm. This is a required annual test of the fire systems.
Anyone with concerns that an alarm sounding is more than a test, should contact the police officer on duty at ext. 2222 to verify if it is a test.
Thiel College announces Phillip Brewer ’19, of Cortland, Ohio, and Jessica Vormelker ’19, of Orwell, Ohio, have earned Student of the Month honors for December.
Brewer is earning a dual major in religion and theology/youth ministry with a minor in equine studies.
Vormelker is an early childhood and special education major.
Thiel College students AC Campbell ’19, of Dumfries, Va., Ben Daisley ’19, of Conneaut Lake, Pa., and Jean Felix ’21, of Miami, Fla., traveled to Jamestown and Hermitage to distribute 280 books to first graders in 10 classrooms in the region.
On a separate occasion, a group of Thiel College education majors including Taylor Guth ’20, Courtney Harriman ’20, Megan Lee ’19, Colton McCright ’19, Annika Schul ’19 and Jess Vormelker ’19 assisted with the book giveaway at Greenville Elementary.

A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.
