Thiel College Track & Field Complex named for influential community members

Thiel College kicked off its Commencement 2019 festivities with a celebration and naming ceremony for the Dr. Barry ’70 and Carol ’71 Stamm Track & Field Complex, featuring the Coach Jack Leipheimer ’74 Field, and the Col. Charles “Bud” Manes ’58 Track on Saturday, May 4.

Thiel Commencement Exercises feature appeal for graduates to serve in western Pennsylvania

Founder and Executive Chairman of the Manchester Bidwell Corporation William Strickland Jr. addressed graduates and their friends and family, along with Thiel College faculty and staff attending the 145th Commencement Exercises in the William A. Passavant Center on Sunday, May 5.

Bike trip headed to D.C.

Allen Morrill and Anna Reinsel, Ph.D. ’06 are leading students and alumni on a bike trip across Maryland and are scheduled to arrive in Washington, D.C. on Friday.

Tomcat Tributes recognize the teamwork Thiel College employees exhibit each day. Employees can nominate co-workers for recognition in four categories (Random Act of Kindness, Going the Extra Mile, Had a Great Idea, Just Because).

Thiel hosting several Sharon Regional Events

Sharon Regional will also be hosting a series of programs of health and wellness programs in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. On May 14, the discussion will cover stroke awareness, on May 21 experts will present on managing joint pain and on May 28 heart health will be covered. All three programs are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is encouraged.

Office of Communications and Marketing Essentials

Email signatures, brand resources, and a job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.

Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.
