A year of sacrifice and adaption unlike any other in the College’s 156-year history has led to an online celebration of Founders’ Day. The annual recognition of Thiel community members, staff and faculty who have made extraordinary contributions to the College and the region will be done through a video tribute.

A link to a special Founders’ Day video will be sent by email, shared with the community through the homepage and on social media at around 10:45 a.m.

Members of the President’s Cabinet, President Susan Traverso, Ph.D. and local lawmakers will appear on the video thanking employees for their contributions this past year. The Barbara and Louis Thiel Award winner Brenda Wallace will also thank the College for recognizing her with the award.

Cupcakes will be delivered to the entire Thiel community Thursday morning. Later that day, individual cakes will be given to the award recipients to take home and share with their families. When the cakes are delivered, recipients will also be given their $100 prize for winning a distinguished staff or faculty award, the traditional award plate from Wendell August Forge and a card from President Traverso. The Health Services and Housekeeping teams will be recognized with plaques for their entire departments.

Thiel community members can celebrate with the College wherever they are that day by wearing Thiel gear and sharing photos on social media using #TCproud.

Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.

Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.
