    Lauren Whetzel ’10
Public Relations Coordinator at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Harrisburg, Pa.

"As a communication major who has worked as a newspaper reporter and public relations coordinator for two profound organizations in Pennsylvania, Thiel's communication program allowed me to dab into many different realms of communication careers such as journalism, broadcast news and public relations. Without the semester internship Thiel offered me in Washington, D.C. with the National Journalism Center and Washington Times, I would not have been able to learn from experts in the communication fields. I believe my Thiel education and internship is the reason why I landed a career in my field before I even graduated."
